How to Cook 1121 Kainat Basmati
On cooking, 1121 Kainat Basmati gives a strong aroma, good taste and soft texture. Grains elongate to roughly double their length without thickening in width and stay separate and non-sticky.
- 1Rinse: wash 2 to 3 times in cold water until the water runs clear.
- 2Soak: soak for 20 to 30 minutes. This helps the grain elongate fully.
- 3Boil: add rice to plenty of boiling water with a pinch of salt.
- 4Cook: boil 6 to 8 minutes until the grain is about 90% done.
- 5Drain & steam: drain, cover and steam on low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.
Tip: Do not stir during cooking. Fluff gently with a fork before serving.
Water ratio (absorption method): 1 cup rice to 1.5 cups water
